USB adapters will also not work with SLI because USB video adapters are treated as individual (software) video adapters, and not just as a passive conversion adapter such as a DVI > VGA or HDMI > DP would. So forget about USB adapters if you want to use SLI and have a decent framerate and quality. For specialized applications, such as financial services or day trading programs. Naturally the second adapter doesn't have any ports on its own since it's meant to be just that, a secondary video card for use with SLI. How many physical video ports do you have on the laptop? If you got two ports then you can only connect a maximum of two external monitors with Sorround and SLI (given that the laptop allows both of these ports to be used in SLI). What items are in that folder? Copy/paste the names here.Unless of course you use a device such as TripleHead2Go which essentially fools the videocard of you having a monitor of X x Y resolution. Look in the /Library/ColorSync/Profiles/Displays folder. That it didn't work gives you some of an idea how useless this software is.
